By the looks of the compact carry bag you would not expect the tent to be as large as it is 43 1/2" tall x 59" wide x 56 1/2" deep. The tent comes with six stakes so you can inserted in the sand to keep the tent in place especially when no one is in it. The tent was big enough for my husband and I, we were able lay fully extended. We added some inflatable pillow for neck support and extra comfort. The back of the tent (at the bottom) has a mesh material which allows air to flow in and out the tent. The tent easily folds back into position and can be inserted into the compact bag easily and in seconds.
